Nothing compares to laying underneath an umbrella blowing in the breaze shading you from the desert sun on the beach of sea’s edge with the relaxing sound of crashing waves while you receive a soothing body massage. Fingers move up and down the curve of your back, pressing against worn muscles as you listen to ocean waves and distance sounds of calling seagulls.....

Rocky Point Old Port Fish MarketYou pull into a parking place, just barely squeezing in as someone else exits. As you get out of your vehicle ten different voices are yelling at you, “Shrimp, you want shrimp. Fish, we have fish, shrimp, we have the best prices!” Depending on the season, you are either sweltering as the heat and humidity immediately assault you or you are greeted with cool and gentle breeze. Either way - Rocky Point’s Old Port fish market is a unique and exciting experience.

Rodeo Drive of Rocky Point
Everyone familiar with RP will tell you to go to “Shack’s 5th Avenue”, but good luck finding it. We found it quite by accident taking a wrong turn one day. This is another great place to shop. It is located in a relatively new shopping district on Revolucion Ave.

Buy Tasco Jewelry in Puerto PenascoThe guys to the left are Noah and his two sons, Gile and Rodrigo.. They are jewelry vendors. You’ll find them out on the beach almost every day. all day. A good part of the day Noah spends in front of Las Palomas and Sonoran Sky. His two sons can be found in front of Manny’s. If you don’t see something you like, describe what you’re looking for and they will try to track it down bring it to you the next day. I've heard that they will even go into town and purchase a piece for another vendor to resell to you. I guess topay for the front door service and convienance.

Sea Lion Watching on Sea of Cortez
There is nothing like being on the open waters. Hum of the engines, the bow bobbing, splash of the waves against the hull as the boat cuts through the water, and the sun beating down on your body. Out in the distance is your destination of San Felipe at the base of the towering mountains of the Baja, but before you arrive, the captain makes a short detour, as he has just spotted a pod of dolphins. The boat draws nearer to the pod, the dolphins begin to keep pace, as if your boat is a new member of the pod, playing and skipping along the open Sea of Cortez. You snap your pictures and take your movie. Then, as the dolphins swim away, and the captain returns to his course toward San Felipe and the setting sun, you sit, in silence, reflecting on your expericen

Horseback Riding in Puerto Penasco

Picture
I Love Mexico. I love the people. I love the culture. I love the spirt. I’m always struck at the resourcefulness of the residences of Puerto Peñasco, or Mexico, for that matter. Everywhere you travel small business owners are setting up shop catering to every kind of need and want of the visiitors.

Bird Island Tour by SeaFari
Leave the planning and organization to someone else. Enjoy your vacation, your family, and your self. Enjoy the sun, the sea, the open water and fresh air. There is nothing like being on the open waters, hearing the hum of the engines, the bow bobbing, the splash of the waves against the hull as the boat cuts through the sea waves, and the sun’s rays showering down on your body. Our family recently took a cruise out to Bird Island located a short 1 hour south on the open sea from Puerto Penasco. If you are looking for an adventure and something to do while enjoying your stay in Rocky Point, get out to Bird Island. What an experience! Your kids can swim with the VERY friend Sea Lions, see pelicans and sea gauls sunning themselves on the rocky shoreline of bird island, and even possibility see a pod of dolphins keeping pace with your boat as you cruise the open water of the Sea of Cortez.
