Max's Cafe

~Friendly atmosphere, free Wi-Fi, free calls to the states and outdoor seating make Max’s a favorite hangout for tourist and the locals of Puerto Peńasco.  Located at the west end of Calle 13 and across the street from.Penasco del Sol, Max’s is within walking distance of the resorts on Sandy Beach.

Hot Spot During Peak Season

Breakfast is a hot spot during peak season.  From 8amto 1:30 pm you can order everything from a traditional American 2 eggs, bacon, and toast for $5.25 to a Hangover Burrito to Lox and Bagels.  Lunch is available from 11:30 to 5:00 pm, serving a variety of favorites including Classic Ruben, French dip, Club Sandwich and Hot Pastrami all for around $6.75. The shrimp tacos are quite good. Max’s has a different dinner special everyday of the week.  Fillet Mignon on Mondays, Flounder Piccata on Tuesday and Lemon Butter Garlic Shrimp on Sundays. Dinner is served from 5:00 pm to 9:30 pm.

Try the Takeout Pizza

We recommend that you also try their takeout pizzas, order in advance and take home.  A large pepperoni cost $14 dollars and a medium combo can be had for $12. Or eat it in and enjoy a beer, glass of wine and mixed drink at the bar indoors or out side on the patio for a relaxing evening.

Be Prepared to Have a Drink and Wait

Quick service depends on the time of day and number of people.  Like their menu says, “order what you want, but eat what you get.” You’ll find that thought anywhere is Mexico. On a high demand day be prepared to have a drink and wait.  But then again you are in Rocky Point, what else is there to do.
